First Week Down!!

What a long week! But we've gotten the year started.
WE LOVE SCHOOL!

On Monday, we took our First Day of Kindergarten pictures!

On Tuesday, I brought a fish to the class. We just HAD to HAVE a class pet. I haven't named it yet, but have a few ideas. I plan to share them with the class and take a vote or see what ideas they have!

We wrapped up our week of learning about the letter L by making Lemonade. We made it the easy/fake way and the difficult/real way! During the process we tasted the Lemons too! I let the kids try both but forgot to take their pictures. Can you tell which is the lemonade made with lemons and the one that was from the mix??

Here is our class schedule!!

What is Looping?!

What Is Looping?
You may already have heard of looping under another name such as “continuous learning,” “continuous progress,” “persisting groups,” “multi-year grouping,” “teacher/student progression,” or a number of other terms. Looping, a term coined by Jim Grant, author of “The Looping Handbook,”
refers to the not-so-new but increasingly common practice of keeping groups of students together for two or more years with the same teacher.
